What can you do if you suspect to have periodontal disease?

April 6, 2016

It is recommended that you see your dentist or dental hygienist at least once a year to check your gums for signs of periodontal disease. If you have any of the signs or symptoms of periodontal disease, your dentist or hygienist will refer you to a periodontist. Early detection and treatment of periodontal disease can not only prevent irreversible loss of bone around teeth, it can also reduce the need for more complex and costly treatments in the future.
